Explanation of how long SolarQuant keeps your data and what happens to different types of information over time.

Who this is for

- Privacy-conscious users - Compliance officers - Workspace admins managing data policies

What you can do

- Understand retention periods for different data types - Know what gets archived vs permanently deleted - Plan your data export needs

Retention periods by data type

| Data Type | Retention | After Retention | |-----------|-----------|-----------------| | Active projects | Indefinite | Until workspace deleted | | Archived projects | 2 years | Auto-deleted | | Audit logs | 7 years | Permanently archived | | Analytics events | 12 months raw, 36 months rollup | Aggregated then deleted | | Security logs | 7 years | Legally required retention | | Support tickets | 3 years | Archived | | Model run results | 2 years | Purged | | Deleted accounts | 30 days | Permanently removed |

Workspace retention profiles

Your workspace admin can set retention preferences: - Standard : Default retention periods above - High Compliance : Extended retention for regulated industries - Custom : Enterprise-only, tailored to your needs

What happens on deletion

Account deletion: - Personal data anonymized within 30 days - Shared workspace data attributed to "Deleted User" - Comments preserved (author anonymized) - Audit logs preserved (author anonymized)

Workspace deletion: - All projects permanently deleted - Deal cards unpublished and archived - Intro rooms closed - Members removed (no data deleted from their accounts)

Rules / limits

- Some data retained for legal compliance regardless of preferences - Export your data before deletion (no recovery possible) - Archived data may take longer to retrieve

Common mistakes

- Assuming deletion is instant (30-day processing) - Not exporting data before account deletion - Forgetting shared workspace data persists under other members
