Setting Up Investor Rules

Configure screening criteria to automatically filter incoming projects.

What Are Investor Rules?

Rules define your investment criteria. When developers submit projects, SolarQuant automatically checks them against your rules.

Types of Rules

Deal Breakers (Hard Rules) Projects that fail these are immediately rejected: - Minimum/maximum system size - Excluded countries or regions - Minimum credit rating

Preferences (Soft Rules) Projects that fail these get warnings but aren't rejected: - Target IRR range - Preferred contract duration - Preferred off-taker types

Creating Rules

1. Go to Investor Dashboard 2. Click "Rule Configuration" 3. Choose a rule template or create custom 4. Set your thresholds 5. Activate the rule

Best Practices

- Start with essential deal breakers - Add soft rules gradually - Review rejected projects to refine rules - Update rules based on market changes

Rule Examples

| Rule | Type | Threshold | |------|------|-----------| | Min System Size | Hard | 100 kWp | | Min Project IRR | Hard | 12% | | Target Equity IRR | Soft | 20% | | Max Payback | Soft | 7 years |
