Understanding the Screening Process

Learn how SolarQuant screens projects and what the results mean.

How Screening Works

When you submit a project, SolarQuant:

1. Validates inputs against expected ranges 2. Runs financial calculations (IRR, NPV, payback period) 3. Checks investor rules (if submitted to a specific investor) 4. Generates screening results

Screening Results

Projects can receive three outcomes:

✅ Pass Project meets all criteria and financial thresholds. The investor may proceed to deeper evaluation.

⚠️ Warning Project passes most criteria but has some concerns. Review the flagged items carefully.

❌ Fail Project does not meet minimum requirements. Review failed rules to understand why.

What Gets Checked?

- Geographic eligibility : Is the country allowed? - System size range : Is it within acceptable limits? - Financial returns : Does IRR meet minimum targets? - Cost thresholds : Is cost per kWp reasonable? - Contract terms : Is the duration acceptable?

After Screening

Passed projects enter the investor's review queue. They may request more information or schedule a call to discuss further.
