What this is
Each deal has a Documents tab with folders. When you upload a file, SolarQuant reads it, files it into the right folder and ticks the checklist item it matches when it is sure. When it is not sure, it asks you. Deal files are private to your organisation.
Who this is for
Team members with edit access. Viewers can open and download files but not add or move them.
Steps: upload and file documents
1. Open a deal, click Documents and stay on Files . 2. Drag files onto the upload area or click Browse . If a folder is open on the left, uploads go into that folder. 3. Watch the Filed by SolarQuant card. While it reads a file it says it is finding the right folder. Then it shows where each file went and which checklist item it ticked. 4. Files SolarQuant is unsure about show under needs your check , and in the list as Needs your check . Click Confirm to accept the suggested folder (and tick the suggested item), or Change or Check where this goes to pick the folder and item yourself. 5. If a file shows Couldn't read it , pick a folder for it by hand.
PDFs and images are read in full. Word, CSV and text files are read by their text. Other files, such as Excel, are judged by their name only, so they always come back for your check.
Folders and the file list
The left column shows All files , To check , Not in a folder and the deal type's folders, with how many documents are still needed in each. Use a file's ... menu to Open or download , Rename and details (name, folder and Expires on ), Move to folder or Remove . Files with an expiry date show in reminders on the Overview page. Files that came from another module, such as Commercial Offers, show a From badge.
The in-app viewer
Click a file's name to open it in the viewer. You can page through it, zoom, use Find in this document , and see the Key terms read panel with links to the page each term came from. Select some text to get Ask about this , Explain or Compare with the offer , which send the passage to Ask SolarQuant.
