Ask SolarQuant in Pipeline

What this is

Ask SolarQuant is the assistant behind the black round button at the bottom right of the screen. It answers questions about your deals, documents, shared rooms, decisions and memos from what you can see, and how-to questions from the help centre. Every answer shows its sources. SolarQuant never decides.

In short

- Click the black Ask SolarQuant button at the bottom right. The Asking about line sets what the question looks at; type @ to pick something else. - It reads and explains with sources. It never decides, recommends or votes, and its buttons do nothing until you click.

Who this is for

Everyone in the workspace. It only sees what you can see: funders only see the files a developer shows them in a shared room.

What it can answer

- Deals : what is open on the checklist before the next approval, decisions and conditions, document check mismatches, and what is waiting on you. - Documents : what a contract says, with the file, page and clause it used. Source chips open the document in the viewer at that page. If the answer is not in your documents, it says Not in your documents and shows what it searched. - Shared rooms : files, requests and questions your side can see. - Memos : empty or thin sections, figures that changed, risks. - Across deals : for example compare PPA term, tariff and minimum take across your deals. - Help : how to do something in SolarQuant, with a link to the article it used.

It never recommends approving, declining, investing or voting, and never says a deal should or should not go ahead. Asked for a verdict, it explains what the documents and figures show and leaves the decision to you.

Steps: ask a question

1. Click the Ask SolarQuant button. 2. Check the Asking about line above the box. On a deal, room, memo or open document it starts with that item. Click the cross on an item to ask a general question, or type @ to pick a deal, project, document, assessment or offer, or Everything I can see to ask across all of them. 3. Type your question, or pick a suggested one, and send it. 4. Read the answer and its Sources . Click a source to open it.

You can also select text in the document viewer and click Ask about this , Explain or Compare with the offer .

Buttons it may offer

Under some answers SolarQuant offers one or two buttons. Nothing happens until you click:

- open a page, or a document at the right page; - ask the other side a question in a shared room: the question is prefilled in the room's Q&A and you review and send it; - add text to a memo section: the memo opens with the text ready to paste.

In Pipeline it only reads. It does not move deals, vote or change documents. Use the header buttons to start a New conversation , open Conversation history or go Full screen .
